Is myRoadToEagle.com really free?

Yes! myRoadToEagle.com is a free service that is available to anyone who wants to track troop or individual progress toward the Eagle Scout award.

In time we will be offering advanced services at a paid subscription, but the basic scout tracking will remain free. So, you don't have to worry about moving to myRoadToEagle.com and then being told you now have to start paying for it. We believe that everyone should have the ability to track their progress in an effective and cost efficient way.

How can I import my troop's information from TroopMaster?

You can easily import your unit's information from TroopMaster by logging into your account and clicking on the "Tools" tab at the top of each page. In the Tools section you'll find the "TroopMaster Import" feature with detailed instructions on how to import your information. The import process will record your scout's basic information, rank advancement, and completed merit badges.

How do I submit advancement information to my district?

Creating advancement reports in myRoadToEagle.com is simple because it does it for you. Each time you mark a rank or merit badge complete the website will add it to the "Current Report". You can find the advancement reports by clicking on the "Tools" tab at the top of each page. In the Tools section you'll find a link to the reports section of the site.

Once you click on "Reports" you'll see the current "unsaved" report. It will list all of the ranks and merit badges that are marked as "complete", but have not been given an "awarded" date. When you're ready to turn it into the district simply click "Save Current Report" and then print off the advancement sheet.

If you have an award that you wish to NOT be included in the current report simply give it an "awarded date" on its advancement page and it will be removed from the report. Saved reports cannot be changed.

Is myRoadToEagle.com going to be offering Cub Scout tracking?

Yes. We are reviewing the specific needs of a cub program and making plans to provide the best possible management tool. We'll keep you posted via twitter and facebook on our progress.

Can my scouts and their parents see their records?

Yes. All you need to do is click on the "Share A Scout" button found throughout the site. Then, follow the instructions and you're parent, scout or leader will receive an email with instructions on how to create an account or view the scouts if they already have an account.

Once you have shared a scout with another user you can always view the accounts that you are sharing scouts with by going to the My Account > Manage Users section of the website. There you can add or remove any scouts.

Can I transfer a scout's records to another leader or unit?

Yes. All you need to do is click on the "Trasfer A Scout" button found throughout the site. Then, follow the instructions and the new leader will receive an email with instructions on how to create an account and accept the transfer.
